Iowa Public Radio selected the Cedar Rapids Symphony String Quartet's recording of the first movement of Michael Kimber's Traveling Music as intro and closing music for its "Symphonies of Iowa" broadcasts, first aired statewide in 9 broadcasts during the summer of 2006. These programs were broadcast on KSUI 91.7 FM Iowa City/Cedar Rapids, 101.7 FM Dubuque, WOI 90.1 FM Ames/Des Moines, and KHKE 89.5 FM Cedar Falls/Waterloo.
